Toys for Tots Motorcycle Parade DECEMBER 5, 2004 Chicago, IL - Ride on over to the Chicagoland Toys for Tots Motorcycle Parage for Chicago's biggest motorcycle event! We hope to bring over 30,000 motorcyclists together to gather toys and brighten the Christmas season for underprivileged children. The bike staging area is a Chicago Forest Preserve called Dan Ryan Woods. The Parade leaves The Dan Ryan Woods at 9:30am CST. The Parade begins at Western Avenue and 83rd Street (8300 South), travels north on Western to Foster Avenue (5200 North) where it turns west for one mile to Troy St., arriving at the Marine Corps Reserve Center. The entire distance is almost 20 miles and takes 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Take a leisurely ride and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. The Parade welcomes ALL MOTORCYCLISTS, provided they bring at least one toy to donate to the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. We encourage all riders to join us, and we frequently see bikes from Alaska and Hawaii. Even non-riders can participate by bringing toys to The Parade route, and giving the toys to the bikers as they ride along the parade route. Just come to The Dan Ryan Woods on a motorcycle with a toy (no stuffed animals, please) to donate There is no additional fee or cost, and there is no sign-in or registration!
